We have introduced a new option for viewing weather forecasts on desktop and tablet web browsers. Users can now toggle between a horizontal layout and the standard vertical layout across our Hourly, 7 Days, and 14 Days forecast pages.
This layout option has been reintroduced by popular demand from our audience, many of whom let us know they missed the horizontal format on our website. We listened to your feedback to give you greater flexibility in how you view your weather.
What Changes in the Horizontal View?
While both options display the exact same forecast information, the horizontal layout adjusts page formatting to streamline your viewing experience:
| Feature | Vertical Layout (Default) | Horizontal Layout (New Option) |
|---|---|---|
| Page Length | Standard length with vertical scrolling | Shorter page requiring less vertical scrolling |
| Chart Placement | Integrated alongside forecast modules | Displayed directly below the main forecast module |
| Ad Display | Standard ad experience | Streamlined layout with fewer ads |
| Weather Information | Comprehensive forecast data | Identical forecast data |
How to Switch Between Views
Switching your forecast view takes just one click:
- Navigate to the Hourly, 7 Days, or 14 Days forecast page on desktop or tablet web.
- Locate the layout toggle button at the top right of the forecast module, highlighted with a New / Nouveau badge.
- Click or tap the toggle to switch instantly between the horizontal and vertical views.
Your preference is automatically saved in your browser cookies. When you return to the site, your selected view will be preserved automatically.
Where did the weather chart go in horizontal view?
In the horizontal layout, the weather chart moves directly below the main forecast module to allow for a wider, more compact forecast layout at the top of the page.
